Jamaica Schooling

Jamaicans value education. Children are schooled at an early age, starting with an early education in Infant school. Shortly there after, we begin our schooling in Primary school, where we continue our education in basic arithmetic, spelling, reading, dication and writing. At about age 12, we begin our Secondary school, which is basically the same as High School in the United States. The biggest difference between secondary school and Hign school is that Secondary schooling is not free. Only the smartest children can attend school free of cost.

Jamaica School Wear

All students are expected to wear a uniform. Boys wear both khaki top and trousers. Girls usually wear a white blouse with a blue, brown, scarlet or white tunic.
