Happy Sunday and happy Fall to everyone. I hope you all remembered to turn your clocks back one hour. The only way I can remember which way the clock goes is by reciting "spring ahead, fall back". One good thing about living in Jamaica is you don't have to remember which way the clock gets turned as it is the same all year round. This morning I think I'll make Plantains and share it will you. Making fried plantains is a delicious way to start any morning not just Sundays. Here's how to prepare this easy breakfast treat:
- Preheat about a tablespoon of oil in saucepan
- Remove outter skin from plantain and slice plantain
- Place plantain in saucepan and brown on both sides
- Be careful to keep an eye on browning plantain as it tends to burn fairly easy
- The whole process should take about 10 minutes for an average sized plantain.
- Let cool and enjoy your plantain
i love plantains! i got them in school one day and i have been eating them ever since! i am now 38 and my kids love them just as much as i do!
