One of the things I love about this picture besides the fact that this young lady is wearing an ear to ear smile, is the way she wears her Jamaican colors so proudly. Green, yellow and black are the official colors of Jamacia. These colors became the national colors in 1962 when Jamaica became an independent nation. Prior to that Jamaica was ruled for over 100 years by the British. Previously, Spain also held an interest in Jamaica. Even today, there are still Spanish influences in some places in Jamaica. Where do you see Spanish influences?
